| Great Manchester Run 2008 |

Since 2004 people have ran in the Great Manchester Run to raise money for MAK.
Run to for the Peace Park Project on 18th May 2008 and 100% your sponsorship money will create a peace garden, sports facilities and a safe play facility in war torn Kosovo.
Check out the Great Manchester Run website for specifics on "one of the most prestigious 10ks in the world". Click here to register with their reminder service and they will email you a reminder when the entry system is open.

Pictured here are Saranda and Paul receiving a donation from the children of St Clement's Primary School, Openshaw.
Saranda was invited to talk about her experience as a refugee for Refugee Week.
On a previous visit Paul had spoken to the children about the peace park project. They decided to raise some money by sowing sunflower seeds. Each child bought a small pot of compost and seeds and there was a prize for the tallest sunflower.
A great and simple idea.
